Description

Track 3. Kenny Loggins. November 2, 1977 / PSUC Fieldhouse. Kenny addresses a comment made by Jed Turner of WEAV/WGFB about the Loggins & Messina single "I Believe in Love" getting crossover from Top-40 to Progressive stations. Kenny explains the new single is "Celebrate Me Home." He explains the crowd reaction the first time they used it in a show. Kenny tells me "You'll have to get your scissors out" and Fred Little adds, "We're not open-air yet" because WPLT at the time was closed-circuit AM and cable FM radio station, and not yet technically open-air. The idea being we didn't need to worry about the Kenny's expletive because of the ambiguity over whether or not we were bound by broadcast obscenity laws since we weren't really broadcasting open-air.
